Just when you thought Summer 2005 couldn't get any busier, we bring you news of three more basketball initiatives. On August 14th Streetball.co.uk will take on "The Chronicles" streetball crew in an exhibition game at Bruce Castle Park in North London. Meanwhile, any ballers looking to work on their game should check out the AMW Camp in west London - where top European and US coaches will be sharing their knowledge. And there's BIG news for all hardcore b-ball fans - Nike Midnight Madness is back!! For the first time in our five year history, Streetball.co.uk will play against ANOTHER streetball crew this summer. On August 14th we'll take on "The Chronicles" at the "BACK IN DA DAY PICNIC '05" - an anti-gun crime festival taking place at Bruce Castle Park, Lordship Lane, London N17. The Chronicles feature Will Akuffo and that Simon cat with mad handles - both of whom repped at last year's Street All-Star game.  They also have Shay Olawole (who used to feature on Streetball.co.uk clips waaaaaaaay back in the day) and high-flyers Daniel Montague and Darryl Lewis (to name just a few). As well as the streetball game, the day will also feature dance and producer battles, a football tournament, music workshops and much, much more. This is an event not to be missed...plus it's for a good cause (all proceeds will go towards working with young people in Haringey). It all takes place between 12 - 6pm so make sure you're there.  Away from the fun of streetball, any ballers looking to work on their SERIOUS game this summer should check out the AMW Camp.Taking place at Brunel University (Osterly campus) it promises intensive practices, rough and tough games and top-class pro coaches from Europe and the NBA. It takes place from July 13th - 19th...but there will be open days on 14th and 15th for those who can't attend the whole week. Last year Streetball.co.uk baller Pierre Henry-Fontaine won MVP honours.  These cats even got the hook-up with Mr Va-Va-Voom himself, Thierry Henry! Finally, some great news for dedicated ballers who'd rather been getting busy with the rock than sleeping - Nike Midnight Madness returns on July 29th.
