is not just a website, but an organisation
dedicated to promoting British basketball.
Since
our creation in 1999, we have grown to
become one of Europe's most popular basketball
websites. We now notch up over 1 million
page views, 100,000 unique visitors and
100,000 video downloads every month.
For
years, basketball has suffered a major
image problem here in the UK - one of
the main reasons why it has remained such
a minority sport.
Streetball.co.uk tries to present the
game in an exciting way in an attempt
to generate greater interest and encourage
more participation.
In
addition to our web presence, we organise
and take part in hugely popular events
and tournaments, and support youth basketball
initiatives and training camps.
Our activities have been covered by newspapers
(The Guardian, The Independent, The Voice),
radio (Radio 5), television (ITV London,
DSF) and online (BBCi).
