DAMION
MODESTE
D-Mo
does not ramp. End of story.
Crossing
up and dunking on defenders at Rough and Ready
year after year helped forge his reputation.
The high-flyer even took the tournament's dunk
contest title in 2000 and narrowly lost out
to Leon Bernard in the
National Dunk Contest a year later.
When
playing for SBUK, Damion is almost always the
"X Factor" behind our wins. He may
not top score, but he blocks shots, alters shots,
forces turn overs, grabs rebounds and makes
some great passes.
Proof
of his all-around game came when he finished
in first place at the 2005 Nike Midnight Madness
finals, ahead of some of British basketball's
finest players.
On
top of all that he brings to the team, Dame
also provides highlights...from pinning shots
against the backboard to dunking on opposing
centres.
What
was, perhaps, his greatest highlight came when
he jumped OVER a defender's head (Vince Carter
style) back in 2001 for what was - quite possibly
- the illest game dunk we've ever seen. |
