Frank
Empson was a truly remarkable young man.
A young man, whose life was tragically cut
short after he was fatally stabbed outside
his home on the 11th March 2006. Frank was
just 19 years old.
Frank
was a member of the Essex & Herts Leopards
U18’s last season and a regular at
the Ware Rebels summer camp, winning the
top prize of a trip to the Syracuse University
in America four years ago. Frank continued
to train with the senior side in this season's
campaign and was a very popular member of
the squad.
Away
from basketball, Frank’s wish was
to send his father Steve (Mo), who suffers
from Multiple Sclerosis, for stem cell treatment
in order to give him a better quality of
life. Frank was in the process of saving
towards the cost of £13,000 to enable
Steve to undergo this treatment.
